The Buffalo Sabres have officially released their preseason schedule for the 2016-17 season. The Sabres will play seven exhibition games before opening the regular season vs. the Montreal Canadiens

Two of the preseason games will be home at the First Niagara Center, one against Ottawa and one against Toronto.

The opening game against Minnesota will be played at Pegula Ice Arena, making it the first time the Sabres will have played a preseason game in a non-NHL arena since 2011, when they played Alder Mannheim at SAP Arena in Germany.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
