Sabres sign Cole Schneider

Schneider

The Buffalo Sabres have signed Cole Schneider to a one-year, two-way contract. The Williamsville native made his NHL debut last season, but put up 56 points in 73 AHL games, leading the Amerks.

Schneider will likely spend a majority of the season with the Rochester Americans.

The scouting report from Elite Prosepcts:

Schneider is a big winger with good speed. Uses his size well and drives the net. Can get to rebounds and deflect shots. Protects the puck well along the boards and in the corners.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
