Sabres re-sign Foligno

Foligno

The Buffalo Sabres have announced that they have signed Marcus Foligno to a one-year contract worth $2,250,000. Foligno accepted his qualifying offer and it’s the same amount that Foligno made last season.

The forward posted career-best numbers last season, but after four years in the NHL, some may have had higher hopes for him. It’s tough to determine how well a player is playing statistically when the entire team has struggled.

A one-year deal will allow Foligno the chance to prove what he can do on a team on the rise.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
