Kane arrested after turning himself in

Buffalo Sabres v Montreal Canadiens

Evander Kane has turned himself in and will face charges for his incident at a nightclub last month.

He has been charged with four separate counts of non-criminal harassment and one count of criminal trespassing.

We generally don’t like to report on personal things such as this, but this looks bad on the organization and the city. When the Sabres acquired Kane, they had high hopes and even waited for him to recover from an injury for a season.

While this is not a new incident, it may certainly hurt Kane’s future with the Sabres. It was rumored that Tim Murray was shopping the Sabres’ forward, but it’s going to be tough to find a taker with his off-ice incidents. Murray had a sit down with Kane earlier this offseason as well.

What do the Sabres do next with Kane? Is a buyout in store? If so, here’s how it would look:

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
