Eichel returns as Sabres visit Leafs

Eichel

Jack Eichel will play in his first preseason game of the season tonight as the Buffalo Sabres take on the Toronto Maple Leafs. The two teams will also play tomorrow at the KeyBank Center.

The Sabres have split their first two preseason games so far, with Jake McCabe netting the overtime winner in the most recent game.

Alexander Nylander will face his brother, William, for what should be the first of many times as the two teams are in the same division.

“It’s always, who’s gonna win. This is going to be really fun tonight so we’ll see who wins. Hopefully we get the W.” – Alex Nylander

Anders Nilsson and Jason Kasdorf are expected to be the goaltedners for Buffalo tonight. For the Maple Leafs, it’ll be Garret Sparks and Kasimir Kaskisuo, with former Sabres Jhonas Enroth on Friday night.

It’s been reported that Rasmus Ristolainen is in KeyBank center, but there has been no announcement on a deal. There are two weeks until the season opener and we should expect a signing to happen soon. Preseason

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
