Sabres place Falk on waivers

falk

The Buffalo Sabres have placed defenseman Justin Falk on waivers.

The intention is that Falk would be able to play in Rochester, but he wouldn’t necessarily have to go down. With Dmitry Kulikov and Zach Bogosian dealing with injuries, Falk would be able to remain with the team even if he clears.

With this move, the Sabres have eight defensemen remaining on their training camp roster including Rasmus Ristolainen, though currently unsigned.

Defenseman Brendan Guhle is junior eligible, but if he starts the season with the Sabres, he’d have a nine game tryout before the team would have to make a decision on where he plays for the remainder of the season.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
