That didn’t last long. Linus Ullmark was called up from Rochester to serve as the backup goaltender in Thursday’s game against the Rangers.
Friday morning, the team sent him back to the Americans, who have a game tonight.
Ullmark wasn’t expected to start on Thursday, but there was a chance he might get some playing time. However, with Robin Lehner nearing his return to the crease, there is no room for Ullmark at the moment.
He’ll have to wait a little longer before seeing NHL action this season.
