3 players set to return

The Sabres are finally getting some players back from injury and it could be as soon as tomorrow.

Nicolas Deslauriers, Josh Gorges and Dmitry Kulikov appear to be ready for Friday’s game against the Washington Capitals. Now they just await head coach Dan Bylsma’s decision.

Gorges wasn’t expected to be back so soon, but he is apparently ready to go. Gorges said he could play Friday and at this point it’s just a pain tolerance thing.

Kulikov has missed 13 games and the Sabres could desperately use him on the blue line.

“I’m at the point where it’s feeling good and I can play now.” – Dmitry Kulikov

Deslauriers has missed 19 games with a knee injury, but he says he feels good enough to play again.

“Now it’s more on (Dan Bylsma’s) decision and how he feels about it. I feel ready. I feel back in shape.” – Nicolas Deslauriers.

With this news, it means Brendan Guhle would have to get sent down. He’s well aware that his time would be short, but he’ll likely see more time in the future.

If all three were in the lineup tomorrow, it would mean there’d be a couple of other players getting sent back to Rochester. With the Sabres grabbing seven out of the last 10 points, getting these starters back into the lineup would help even more.
