Bailey up, McCabe back

After Zach Bogosian left Thursday’s game with an injury, he is being ruled day-to-day with a rib/muscle issue. Because of that, the Sabres are almost being forced to go with four left-handed defensemen.

Both Jake McCabe and Josh Gorges will return and are in the lineup for tonight’s game against the Ottawa Senators. That means Taylor Fedun is the odd man out.

On offense, the Sabres are sending down Cal O’Reilly, who has struggled. Justin Bailey will get the call from Rochester. He has 11 goals in his last 12 games with the Amerks.

William Carrier is nursing a knee injury and is considered day-to-day

After his strong start last time out, Robin Lehner is tonight’s starter vs. the Sens.

Senators’ head coach Guy Boucher said he knows his team has to do a better job covering Jack Eichel:

“Last time he killed us, and we have to make sure we’re playing better against him.”

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
