Rodrigues, Grant called up

The Buffalo Sabres have called up forwards Evan Rodrigues and Derek Grant from the Rochester Americans.

Evander Kane was on the ice for this morning’s practice, but Zemgus Girgensons was not. It’s not yet known whether either of these guys will play tonight, but the fact that the Sabres called two forwards up means something.

Rodrigues has only played in two games for Buffalo this season and just four in his NHL career.

Grant, of course, has played 35, registering three assists over that span.
