Nylander to make NHL debut

With four games remaining in the regular season, the Buffalo Sabres are going to give Alexander Nylander a look.

The club is expected to call him up for Monday’s game against the Toronto Maple Leafs, the team that his brother, William, is on.

Nylander has not been exactly tearing it up in the AHL. In 62 games with the Rochester Americans this season, he has 29 points (9 goals, 18 assists).

He’ll get a chance to make a first impression at the NHL level for likely the last few games.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
