Eichel added to Team USA roster

Jack Eichel has been added to Team USAs roster for the 2017 IIHF World Championships.

It’s the second time he will compete in the tournament. He had two goals and five assists over 10 games on his way to a bronze medal in 2015.

Eichel joins a team that includes Dylan Larkin, Nick Bjugstad and Jacob Trouba to name a few.

Team USA schedule:

Fri, May 5 vs. Germany
Sun, May 7 vs. Denmark
Mon, May 8 vs. Sweden
Wed, May 10 vs. Italy
Sat, May 13 vs. Latvia
Sun, May 14 vs. Slovakia
Tues, May 16 vs. Russia

Ryan O’Reilly has already said he’d play for Canada and Zemgus Girgensons for Latvia. Prospect goaltender Cal Petersen is also on the roster for Team USA.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
