There is a very big report that has surfaced Wednesday morning. Paul Hamilton of WGR 550 has reported that Jack Eichel “has no desire to sign an extension if Bylsma remains coach.”
Those would be some big words from the 20-year-old superstar.
Many have already been calling for Bylsma’s dismissal long before today due to his mismanagement of players, lines and situations.
General manager Tim Murray is supposedly meeting with Terry and Kim Pegula today to discuss the organization.
“There’s going to be a review top to bottom. I haven’t had any thoughts of firing him up to this point and the reason I always say today is something could happen tomorrow, so he’s the coach, yes.” – Murray
Buffalo finished three points worse than they did a year prior and are still in a rebuild, but when your franchise player is calling for the coach to be fired, what choice do you really have?
Eichel has shown his frustration all season long, and it’s nice to see his determination to win. He’s been visibly upset on many occasions throughout the year, but he wants to win and the Sabres need to make sure they don’t lose him.
Eichel is entering a contract year, but if Buffalo doesn’t start getting results, one could see why he wouldn’t want to stick around.
Eichel agent says no truth to reports he won’t negotiate extension with #Sabres with Bylsma as coach.

Eichel’s agent stated that this report is false and that the whole situation is a misunderstanding.
#Sabres Eichel agent: “He is 100% on board” with an extension “assuming negotiations go well.” Bylsma status “has nothing to do with it.”

What do you really expect his agent to say, though?
