2017-18 schedule released

The NHL released the entire regular season schedule on Thursday at 3 p.m.

The Sabres will opener the season on Thursday, October 5th against Montreal. Their first road game will be at the New York Islanders on Saturday, Oct. 7th.

Like last year, the Sabres have an early West Coast trip, and they’ll take on Las Vegas during that time. The Sabres host the Golden Knights on March 10th, which will being a six-game homestand.

Buffalo will not play the Maple Leafs until March 5th. They’ll face each other four times in the final few weeks of the season.

The Sabres will have their bye week in January as they are off from the 12th-17th.

The final home game is scheduled for April 4th vs. Ottawa. Buffalo will hit the road for two more after that to take on the Lightning and Panthers, respectively.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
