The Sabres’ top pick from the 2016 NHL Entry Draft is going to miss some time.
Head coach Phil Housley said that Alexander Nylander is week-to-week with a lower-body injury.
It’s unfortunate,” Housley said. “He’ll be assessed. Guarding on the side of caution because it’s so early in the season.”
Sean Malone is also dealing with a week-to-week injury. Both players are unlikely to make the roster straight out of training camp because of the injuries.
