McCabe, Rodrigues out with injuries

Head coach Phil Housley gave some updates on a couple of injured players Monday morning.

Jake McCabe has an upper-body injury and is week-to-week.

“Jake has an upper body injury, more maintenance. It’s more of a week-to-week right now,” Housley said.

Evan Rodrigues has a hand injury, but the Sabres do not yet know whether it will keep him our short or long term.

Both Alex Nylander and Sean Malone have yet to play so far in training camp.

“They’re making some headway with their injuries,” Housley said. With Nylander, every day he’s getting better, he’s feeling more comfortable. Sean has been skating, so that’s intriguing.”

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
