Sabres begin season with four ‘A’s

With the season opener just hours away, the Sabres have decided to go without a captain, at least for a portion of the 2017-18 campaign.

Ryan O’Reilly, Zach Bogosian, Kyle Okposo and Jack Eichel will sport an “A” on their jerseys, and head coach Phil Housley said they might be moved around.

“We decided to start with the 4 A’s. It’s a good group. We’re going to rotate them.” – Housley

What do you think of this decision? Let us know in the comments.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
