Moulson placed on waivers

As of noon today, the Buffalo Sabres will place forward Matt Moulson on waivers, with the intention of sending him down to the Rochester Americans.

Moulson has been a huge disappointment and the Sabres finally made a move. He has played 14 games this season with zero points and a -9 rating.

Moulson has a cap hit of $5 million this season and the next.

With an open spot, the Sabres have called up Evan Rodrigues from the Amerks.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
