Bogosian to miss 4-6 weeks

Defenseman Zach Bogoisan injured his leg during Wednesday’s morning practice, and the team announced today that he will miss about a month.

“It’s a tough blow for him. He’s been fighting through injuries this year and it’s difficult. It’s how the business goes, it’s how the game goes. It’s unfortunate, but it’s giving other players an opportunity.” -Head coach Phil Housley

Any trade talk on Bogosian will quiet down now that he is injured, but this may give Brenadan Guhle an extended opportunity to prove he belongs at the NHL level.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
