Larsson suspended 2 games

Toward the end of Thursday’s game against the Florida Panthers, Johan Larsson went after Vincent Trocheck, but with his stick.

Below is a great view that shows him cross-checking the Panthers’ forward up high:

After the game, Larsson said he wasn’t worried about being suspended. After a hearing with the league on Friday, the NHL did suspend him for two games.

“I just heard something going on there, so I skated up there. The guy came right at me, and I pushed him a little bit, got a little scrum. … I’m not worried at all (about suspension).” – Larsson

Larsson will be able to return to the lineup on Thursday when the Sabres host the New York Islanders.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
