There’s no doubt that this season never turned out to be what many had hoped. Who knew that the Las Vegas Knights would be such a dominant force and that Buffalo would finish in 31st place?
I’ve watched a lot of bad hockey this year, and I know many of our readers have, too. It’s now a seven year playoff drought.
This was our 10th season of covering Sabres hockey, and we all had a lot of fun doing it. I’ll admit that BHC stumbled a little bit throughout the season as we had a shortage in staff and other things going on in life. It wasn’t acceptable, but it happened.
Also, we’re going to be losing a phenomenal member of our team in the near future as Jeff Pawlak will be retiring from covering hockey. He has a trilogy of novels coming out this summer and is one of the most talented writers for us. He deserves a follow and has continued to put out great work in all he does. Jeff has provided us with 139 posts, from his first (Center of Attention) in 2010 to his Top 10 games of this season, which he’ll provide later this week, we want to thank him for all of his work. We wish him nothing but the best!
Moving forward, my goal is to provide all readers with not only more content, but higher quality content. I have a lot of great things planned for the upcoming season and a great group of writers that will help keep the coverage coming.
Thank you all for continuing to read, for participating in our contests and for being fans. I hope that 2018-19 is a much more enjoyable season to watch and we’re looking forward to our 11th season of coverage.
Thank you, everybody!
