Dahlin inks entry-level deal

It was only a matter of time, but the Sabres No. 1 pick from the draft has been signed and added to our Cap Central page.

Rasmus Dahlin will have a cap hit of just under $1M per each of the next three seasons, making $925,000 starting this season. At just 18 years old, Dahlin has yet to prove anything at the NHL level, but with his skill set and abilities, the Sabres are getting him at a huge bargain for the first three years.

It’ll be important for Jason Botterill to make sure there is enough cap room to give Dahlin a big contract extension in a few years.

Until then, we hope for big things from Dahlin as he prepares to make his debut in a few months.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
