Sabres look to bounce back

⏰  10:30 p.m.   ? MSG   ? WGR550

The Sabres are hoping to get back over .500 with a victory tonight against the San Jose Sharks. It’s another late game for fans on the east coast with a 10:30 p.m. start time.

Season series: This is the first of two meetings between these teams. The other will come at KeyBank Center in late November. The Sharks have won the previous three meetings, but the Sabres own the all-time series with 24 wins, 11 losses, and four ties.

Buffalo notes: The Sabres enter this game with a 3-3 record after a 4-1 loss to the Vegas Golden Knights on Tuesday. They’ve been playing better, but missed a great opportunity to move two games over the .500 mark.

Sharks notes: San Jose haven’t played since Sunday when they were defeated by the New Jersey Devils, 3-2. They’re 2-3-1 on the season and just completed a five-game road trip. Evander Kane leads the team with four goals and 10 penalty minutes through six games.

Starting goaltenders: Carter Hutton got the start in goal last game and Linus Ullmark has played just once this season, recording a shutout. Martin Jones is well rested and should be the expected starter tonight.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
