Sabres eye 4th straight win

The 2018-2019 season is 10 games in for the Sabres and they will host the Columbus Blue Jackets tonight at Nationwide Arena.

Season series: Tonight’s matchup is the first of three between these teams this season. They’ll meet again in January and then once more in March. Last season, Columbus won the series 2-1 against Buffalo.

Buffalo notes: The Buffalo Sabres are looking to keep their current three-game winning streak alive against the 5-4 Blue Jackets. Buffalo’s newly formed top line of Jeff Skinner, Jack Eichel, and Jason Pominville look to stay red hot with a combined seven goals and 17 points in the last three games.

Blue Jackets notes: The Columbus Blue Jackets are looking to win their second consecutive game after a high scoring 7-4 victory against the St. Louis Blues. An 11 goal game is a lot for sure, however Columbus is usually involved in high scoring games. They average 3.44 goals/game while also giving up 3.77 goals/game.
