The wait is over… The Buffalo Sabres have finally come to an agreement with Jeff Skinner.
Late Friday evening, the 27-year-old winger signed a deal for an 8-year extension with an average annual value of $9M — he is now the second highest paid Sabre, behind Jack Eichel.
It was questionable whether Skinner would return after the result of last season.
Skinner ended his first season with the Sabres with a career-high of 40 goals — the third-highest total ever recorded by a first-year Sabre, and his 32 even-strength goals marked the highest total by a player in his first year with the team.
