The Buffalo Sabres will be embarking on their 50th NHL season, and as many fans expected, the team will be coming out with a commemorative jersey to honor it.
For a while, there has been a high demand for the team to bring back royal blue, but as of now, it sounds like that may not be happening…at least not yet.
This is the secret I was holding when I said people are going to be mad. Its going to be all white is my understanding. White pants and gloves too. https://t.co/v35XnmAr5I

The photo below is only a concept, but with reports of it being primarily white, Jordan Santalucia came up with an idea of what it may look like.
I don’t know how, but some people got to see the new alternate jersey already somehow. Apparently it’s going to be all white and then gold and then navy. So here’s what I came up with. #Sabres pic.twitter.com/VVKQ3ivH3B

It would be the first time in a few years that the team would have an alternate jersey. Remember this one from 2013-14?
And before that:
The new alternate jersey could very well just be for this upcoming season only. A royal blue one is not out of the question, but it doesn’t seem to be coming this season. Fans may have to wait a little bit longer for that.
