With the 50th anniversary season approaching for the Sabres, many fans have been waiting to see what the team elects to do with their jerseys. While a complete change may not be in store, a third jersey seems very expected.
Earlier in the offseason, the team said they would start unveiling some hints toward it during the NHL Entry Draft. That they did, posting the new blue and gold emblem.
UPDATE 7/23: There was this today that showed up…

Since then, there hasn’t been much else. A few fans may have found some inklings of what might come, but we’ll leave that up to you for interpretation.
Not a rumor but here is something Sabres fans can lose their minds about. I just left the store, our home and away jerseys have the 50th patch on the left shoulder; oh and the YELLOWS DON’T MATCH

Could the Sabres really be going with just an added patch to the current jerseys?
I saw the Red Goat head Jersey in the closed Sabres store downstairs the other day.

They could very well just be adding that patch to the current two jerseys and coming out with an alternate as well.
Jordan Santalucia from TheChargingBuffalo designed a couple of concepts of what the alternate jersey could look like:

Although there’s a lot of speculation that the 50th anniversary jersey will be white, @snipeEZ716 is pretty sure that it’s going to be something like this, & helped me make these mockups for it. It won’t be what people want, but should still be cool either way.#Sabres50 #Sabres pic.twitter.com/ZnLwM0O4hn

What do you think of those concepts?
