Sabres fire GM Jason Botterill

The Buffalo Sabres announced today that they have relieved General Manager Jason Botterill of his duties. They also said that Kevyn Adams will take over.

They also relieved the duties of assistant GMs Randy Sexton and Steve Greeley.

This news comes as an utter shock as just a couple of weeks ago, the Pegulas said that Botterill would be returning for another season despite the unpopular opinion among fans.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
