Olofsson finally signs

This was one of the final signing we were waiting for in terms of arbitration-eliglbe players. Sam Reinhart and Linus Ullmark were recently signed, but now the Sabres get Olofsson to a 2-year deal worth about $3M each year.

Similar to the other recent deals, this one is short-term, which is fine. Olofsson figures to fit in the top six again with power play time as well.

The rookie had 42 points (20 goals, 22 assists) in 54 games last season. He was in the conversation for the Calder Trophy until he had gotten injured.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
