The Sabres added some more depth after the news of the Zemgus Girgensons injury. Riley Sheahan has been all over the place in recent seasons.
He’s played for the Detroit Red Wings, Pittsburgh Penguins, Florida Panthers, and most recently, the Edmonton Oilers.
Sheahan is a defensive-minded forward that can contribute on the penalty kill. He won’t put up many points, but has topped 10 goals in a season three times, and likely would have last year if it weren’t for the shortened season.
