After being compared to some of the other teams in the Olympics, team USA is looked at as the underdog. With Ryan Miller in net, does team USA have enough offense to win games?
Unlike the Russian team, USA doesn’t seem to have as many scoring lines. Jamie Langenbrunner was named captain and he will look to lead the Americans to a gold medal. He will have one of his teammates, Zach Parise, playing along with him. Buffalo native Patrick Kane will also look to contribute on the offensive side for the Americans.
Ryan Kesler, Dustin Brown, and Chris Drury are just a few others that will be looking to score. These are mainly the biggest offensive starters for the Americans. Is it enough for them to succeed in this year’s Olympics?
Despite being the underdogs, Coach Ron Wilson believes his team has what it takes to win the gold. Team USA may not have as many superstars as Russia or Canada, but Wilson thinks his team will be able to win with strong efforts from each individual player.
Ryan Miller will face an extreme amount of pressure as many will rely on him to keep the Americans in the game. While he is doing his best, it is imperative that the offense does their part as well.
If the Americans are only able to score one or two times per game, it is going to be extremely difficult to succeed, especially with some of the firepower that other teams have.
How will team USA’s offense perform? Will it be enough to take the gold medal?
