Sabres Agree to Terms With John Scott

Buffalo fans have been waiting all day for the Sabres to make a move, and finally they have. It’s not a big signing in terms of salary, but in terms of size, it is.

The Sabres have agreed to terms with John Scott, a 6’8″, 270 pound enforcer who should help make the team a bit tougher.

“John’s size and toughness make him a difficult player to battle against,” Regier said. “His physical play will be a valuable addition to our team.”

It is a one year contract worth $600,000. Scott has recorded five points (1 G, 4 A) in 146 NHL games. He has played for the Rangers, Wild and Blackhawks.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
