A player that has become an integral part of the Rochester Americans team has been inked to a one-year deal for the AHL club.
After acquiring Ellis as a free agent prior to the 2008 season, the forward will be entering his 9th season in the Sabres’ organization.
With over 350 games of NHL experience, the 33-year-old could serve as the Amerks’ captain this season, but either way, his work ethic and lasting impression on teammates has been beneficial.
