The Buffalo Sabres have announced that they have signed goaltender Jason Kasdorm to an entry-level contract.
Kasdorf was selected by the Winnipeg Jets in the sixth round (157th overall) of the 2011 NHL Entry Draft. The Sabres acquired him in the trade for Evander Kane.
At nearly 24 years old, Kasdorf has high expectations:
“There’s no reason he can’t be an elite pro goalie and there’s no reason he can’t play in the National Hockey League down the road,” said Seth Appert, Kasdorf’s coach at R.P.I. and a former college goalie.
“Kasdorf is in his senior season at R.P.I. in 2015-16. A late-round “hometown” pick when he was selected by the Jets in 2011 in their first draft after moving to Winnipeg, he has come a long way since then, enjoying an outstanding four-year college career with the Engineers.” – Hockey’s Future
