The Buffalo Sabres have reached a deal with Derek Grant on a two-way contract.
Grant is a 26-year-old center, weighing in at 6’3″, 202 pounds. He’s spent time with Calgary and Ottawa seeing playing time in just parts of three seasons. He has three assists in 40 NHL games.
This is a player that Tim Murray is familiar with as Grant has played more than 200 games with the Binghamton Senators (AHL). This is another depth signing for Buffalo and Grant will spend a good portion of the season with the Rochester Americans.
