During the first period of Thursday night’s game against the Boston Bruins, William Carrier delivered a high hit on David Backes.
The hit caused Backes to miss the remainder of the game and it’s one in which player safety might be taking a look at.
Here’s the hit:
Carrier received a two minute penalty for an illegal check to the hit. Just a couple of minutes later, Adam McQuaid came off the bench and headed right for Carrier, drawing an instigator penalty and a 10 minute misconduct.
Was Carrier’s two minute penalty enough or does his hit warrant a suspension? Let us know what you think.
Should William Carrier be suspended for the hit on Backes?
