The Sabres have yet to name a captain for their upcoming season. After Brian Gionta went unsigned over the summer, the organization has a decision to make on who will become the official team leader.
Most of the talk has it coming down to Jack Eichel, Ryan O’Reilly or even Jason Pominville. However, the player aren’t concerned over it as they have stated that their goal is to move forward and make the playoffs.

Pominville is one of the names rumored to get the “C”, but either way, the veteran should be heavily involved with the team.
