The next head coach of the Buffalo Sabres is Ralph Krueger. The Buffalo Sabres made it official on Wednesday morning.
We found our guy.

Krueger steps into an organization that hasn’t seen a playoff game in eight straight seasons. He’ll take over for Phil Housley, who was fired after just two seasons behind the bench.
Krueger hardly has any NHL coaching experience but has been heavily involved in hockey in other areas.
He coached the Edmonton Oilers during the 2012-13 season and went 19-22-7.

Krueger had success coaching the men’s Swiss National team for years, and the Sabres are hoping he can bring that same success to Buffalo.
“I am excited and honored to join the Buffalo Sabres family and will strive to maximize the potential that lies within this team.” – Krueger
Krueger is expected to have a conference call later today.
