The Sabres are reportedly set to make smaller signing today with the addition of defenseman John Gilmour. Listed at 6’0″, 190 pounds, Gilmour has spent most of his time over the last few seasons with the Hartford Wolf Pack of the AHL.

He put up 54 points in 70 games there last season, easily his best year of any. He only appeared in five games with the Rangers last year, though.
At 26 years old, Gilmour now has a one-year, one-way deal worth $700K with Buffalo. That means in order to go to Rochester, he’d have to clear waivers.
