Sabres sign Andrew Hammond

The Sabres added a goaltender on Monday afternoon, inking Andrew Hammond to a one-year deal.

The “Hamburglar” hasn’t appeared in many NHL games (just 56), but does support a 27-15 -6 record with a 2.31 GAA and a .923 save percentage.

We have signed goaltender Andrew Hammond to a one-year contract with an AAV of $700,000.

Hammond will be Rochester’s veteran goaltender and probably won’t see much time in Buffalo unless injuries arise.
