Rasmus Ristolainen has had his name in rumors for months now, or maybe even longer. Whether he ends up getting traded this summer or not still remains a mystery.
Earlier this week, though, Joe Yerdon of The Athletic said on TSN that the Sabres turned down a deal that would have brought Taylor Hall to Buffalo.
"Apparently the Sabres turned down a Ristolainen for Taylor Hall deal a few years ago." Joe Yerdon now on @TSN1260

Hall has already been with the New Jersey Devils for three seasons. In his second year there, he scored 93 points (39 goals, 54 assists), all career highs. Ristolainen has between 41 and 45 points in each of the last four seasons, and that is as a defenseman, of course.
Would you have wanted the #Sabres to trade Rasmus Ristolainen for Taylor Hall?

Would that have made Buffalo better? Would it have prevented the Sabres from getting Rasmus Dahlin?
What do you think?
