The Sabres announced today that Dan Granato has been hospitalized with severe pneumonia and that he will be going on medical leave. We want to wish all the best for him and his family and hope that he makes a quick recovery. We’d love to see him back behind the bench.

In the meantime, the Sabres announced that Rochester Americans head coach Chris Taylor will help out Buffalo’s staff. In his place with the Amerks, Kevin Dineen will slide into that role. Adam Mair will also be helping the Amerks’ coaching staff.
It’s awful news and we can only wish Dan the best during this tough time.
