What do I need to do?

The objective is to attempt to predict the exact score of each Sabres game. You’ll earn points based on how well you do.

Here’s the scoring breakdown for each game:

2 points for predicting correct # of Sabres goals
2 points for predicting correct # of opponent goals
1 point for correctly predicting the winner

On any given night, you can earn 0, 1, 2, 3, or 5 points. Compete against the rest of the participants and try to finish the season above the red line.

Why can I only predict 5 games?

You can only predict up to five games at a time, and that’s intentional on our end. Once a game begins, another one will be populated onto the predictor form.

Can I change my predictions?

You’re able to modify any future predictions, but you will be locked out once we reach the deadline for that game. Most games are scheduled for 7 p.m. EST, and we set a deadline for 7:05 p.m.

Can I enter a tie score?

Yes! You can enter a score of 2-2 for both teams in the same game. This will prevent you from getting the maximum of 5 points, along with the 1 point for picking the correct winner. However, this is often done as a strategy toward the end of the season to try and hang on to a top spot. Entering a tie score will increase your chances of getting two points, which may be worth it to some. It rarely happens in pick ’em but keep it in mind.

Can I see everyone else’s predictions?

When viewing the standings table, there is a tab at the top for Recent Results. This will show you everyone’s predictions and point totals for the most recent game.

Additionally, you can press or click on any username in the standings. This will open up a new window where you can see a summary of their predictions and history in the pick ’em tournament.

Do shootouts count?

We go by the actual final score of the game. Individual shootout goals do not apply.
