Amerks sign Tyson Strachan

Strachan

The Amerks announced that the team has signed defenseman Tyson Strachan to a one-year deal. The 31-year-old played 46 games for the Sabres during the 2014-15 season, registering five points.

This will be his second stint with Buffalo after he played just two games for the Wild this past season. He’s also played for St. Louis, Florida and Washington throughout his career.

Strachan has 186 games of NHL experience along with a goal and 19 assists. The signing gives the Amerks another depth player on the backend.

I founded Buffalo Hockey Central in 2008 and have poured hours and hours into this site. Luckily, we have a great team of writers and designers who have helped keep this up and running despite a ton of out-of-pocket costs. We do this because we enjoy it, and we're desperate to see the Sabres win the Cup someday, but they have to make the playoffs first.
