The Rochester Democrat and Chronicle has reported that forward Corey Tropp is out for the remainder of the 2012-2013 season due to an ACL/MCL injury.
Tropp played in the opening game of the season against Syracuse and scored two goals, but left the game later in the third period. Tropp was hurt on a check by Radko Gudas.
Tropp played parts of last season in Buffalo and Rochester, but is a big loss for the Americans now. Tropp had 22 points in 27 games with Rochester last season and eight points in 34 games with Buffalo.
At the moment #Amerks rookie Brian Flynn is skating in RW spot vacated by injured Corey Tropp on the line with Cody Hodgson and Luke Adam.
