After some surprising news earlier today, the Sabres continued to clean house, moving to the Rochester Americans.
The @BuffaloSabres announced today that General Manager Randy Sexton, Head Coach Chris Taylor and Assistant Coaches Gord Dineen and Toby Petersen have all been relieved of their duties. pic.twitter.com/G0hUY5gdzZ

Amerks coach Chris Taylor and assistants Gord Dineen and Toby Petersen among those out.
“We wish (them) well and thank them for their contributions in overseeing the development of the organization’s top prospects in Rochester over the last three years,” said Terry and Kim Pegula https://t.co/Xf34DXWUSk— John Vogl (@BuffaloVogl) June 16, 2020
Chris Taylor was very well respected and loved by the players, and the team had been doing much better in recent years, so this doesn’t seem to make a whole lot of sense.
Regardless, they are cleaning house and maybe that isn’t a bad thing. With all of these firing, it’ll be interesting to see who they bring in as replacements.
It’s weird how the Buffalo Sabres not making the playoffs in 9 years perfectly lines up with the 9 years they’ve been owned by the Pegulas. That’s got to be a pure coincidence so it’s good that they’re going to have more of a say in hockey decisions

BUF has also released director of amateur scouting Ryan Jankowski and a good chunk of amateur staff. Just an ugly day.
