A look ahead:

The month of December is upon us, and what a month it will be. The Americans will be hosting the Lake Erie Monsters as they take part in The Greater Rochester Area Honda Dealers Frozen Frontier Present by Labatt. The Americans kick off the outdoor hockey festivities on Friday the 13th and are followed by a straight two weeks of outdoor hockey action. I won’t elaborate much further until my official Frozen Frontier preview comes out however we are looking at 16 hockey games of all levels over the course of two weeks, not to mention all of the open ice time and special events. It is a great time to be a hockey fan in Rochester, NY.

The Americans will have their fair share of struggle in the coming month. The absence of Luke Adam and Brayden McNabb has already been felt, and will continue to be felt if they remain in the big show. They will also be without Patrick Kaleta as he sustained a serious injury against Lake Erie only a few nights ago. No information has been disclosed as to how much time he will miss although it appears as if he will miss a considerable amount.

The Americans open up the month of December on Wednesday the 4th as they host the Utica Comets at 7:05 pm.
